Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, also known as Physiatry, aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles and tendons.

The goal of a Physiatrist is to maximize patients’ independence in activities of daily living.  If you are suffering from a brain, spinal cord injury or have had a stroke and are finding it difficult to function, please ask your family doctor about a referral to this clinic.  We are also happy to see patients with:

  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Spina Bifida
  • Amputations
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • ALS
  • Parkinson’s
