He will also see for:

  • Assessment of cognition
  • Polypharmacy (taking many medications at the same time)
  • Complex patients
  • Falls
  • Incontinence
  • Placement issues
  • Depression
  • Linkages to HomeCare
  • Geriatric Psychiatry

If you are over 65 and have any of the above concerns, ask your family doctor for a referral.

Please note: If you hold a valid driver’s license, you may be required to have a driving test. There are a number of medical conditions and/or medications which may impact an individual’s ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.

These assessments are completed by staff who are trained to assess driving skills imperative for safe driving, including reaction time, memory, judgement, decision making, and attention, as well as the ability to multi-task and respond to changing driving environments. The cost of the driving test is not covered by Alberta Health Services.
